Harbitt, Inc. (head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Koji Nakata; hereafter “Harbitt”) has opened early sign-ups for the beta of its tool for visualizing container ship delays and port congestion.
Background
Harbitt has long offered a product for tracking shipments in international logistics.
Along the way, shippers and forwarders told us they wanted to
- know about delays on routes and carriers they had never used
- know how congested ports are
- know when the ports they use are being skipped (omitted port calls)
and so on.
To meet those needs, we have been developing a tool that makes container ship delays and port congestion visible.
What makes it different
In line with our concept of “using data and AI to make international logistics predictable,” the tool is built around strengths that lead to action:
- Vessel delays: quantify detailed delay conditions on routes you have never used
- Port congestion: instead of vague “indicators” that are hard to act on, get quantitative data that feeds into decisions in your transport operations
